Comments: Marc and Giffen are an eclectic pair with extensive travel experience. We would like to see video footage that is a little less abstract and avante garde to get to know them both a little better!

Comments: Alexis brings passion and dedication to everything she does, and she does it all. We loved how well-rounded she is in her day to day life, but would have like to see more action, creativity,  examples of the broadcast journalism she’s done to back up her passion and enthusiasm!

Comments: William kept us entertained and laughing and had a creative premise behind his video, which is also well-executed, until the finale. We’re looking for an Island Intern who shows sensitivity and respect for all peoples and environments and found the ending at odds with our values.

How do we want to change the world? We want to help young people understand that financial stability can be found in ways that are not commonly taught in school and encourage them to aspire to exit the “rat race” and see this incredible world.

Comments: Jenny and Brandon made a compelling and concise video with great photos and describing their travels and experience well. It showed personality and individuality and demonstrated that they have a good mix of business savvy and passion for adventure.

How do I want to change the world? By giving people a window and an outlet to stories or ideas they would otherwise never see or hear.

Expert Comments: Kevin’s video is unspeakably genuine. It’s not an online resume type of thing, but instead says “This is who I am, and if it’s what you’re looking for, then perfect… but I can’t change the traveler inside of me.” I think this is summed up by his ending. It’s not cheesy; it isn’t some one-liner with a catchy hook; he simply says “This is how I’m going to end, because unabashedly, this is me.” And I love that.

Kevin’s speaks to the future of where he wants to take his travels, and seems to thrive on his passion for the unknown. In addition, I get the impression that Kevin has a healthy amount of humility, a trait I think is important for travelers because it keeps their eyes open to learning. – Kyle Ellison of Kyle the Vagabond
