Profile: Benjamin A. Loomis, President

The founder and President of Amble Resorts, Benjamin Loomis has two decades of experience in the architecture, construction, and real estate industries. Before starting Amble Resorts, he worked for four years with InterCapital Partners, LLC, where he managed the development of over $200 million of residential and mixed-use projects, spread over multiple geographic markets and product types. Prior to that, he worked five years as an architect in Chicago for Tigerman McCurry Architects and other firms, as well as in construction for several years in his home state of Alabama.

Mr. Loomis graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Masters of Science in Real Estate Development and a Masters of Science in Architectural Studies, and obtained his Bachelors of Architecture from Auburn University. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Ecotourism Society; past professional involvement includes working with UNESCO on master plans and historic documentation for the UN World Heritage Site of Røros, Norway and teaching architecture at the Boston Architectural Center.
