Isla Palenque is located off the Pacific coast of Panama in the sapphire waters of the Gulf of Chiriqui. Positioned west of the bustling epicenter of Panama City and just east of the Costa Rica border, it is approximately one hour from the city of David in the Province of Chiriqui.

There are many non-stop flights from the U.S. to Panama City every day. From there, it's a short trip to Panama's city of David (you can either drive or fly), and a 50 minute leisurely boat ride to Isla Palenque, where you can immerse yourself in the island's wild, unspoiled beauty.

Day of Adventure

Our full-day Site Expedition to Isla Palenque is ideal for those with a busy schedule. You’ll meet our boat at the Boca Chica Marina for the 15 minute ride through the Gulf of Chiriqui to Isla Palenque. Spend the morning hiking around our jungle, taking in stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding islands, and of course choosing your favorite of our home sites!

Lunch will be served on our volcanic sand beach and will feature authentic Panamanian cuisine and island-inspired beverages. Spend the afternoon enjoying beach-side service while relaxing on Playa Palenque before the boat ride back to Pedregal.

Gulf of Chiriqui Exploration Tour

Experience Isla Palenque and the surrounding Gulf of Chiriqui with an all-inclusive two-day marine adventure. This tour begins in Panama City and includes airfare to and from David, all meals, and two nights’ lodging.

Day 1

You’ll depart from Panama City’s Albrook Airport for the 50-minute flight to David, where we will pick you up for the five minute ride to the Port of Pedregal. Begin to unwind on the gentle boat excursion to Isla Palenque. Once you arrive, you’ll enjoy the Day of Adventure described above.

We will then escort you to nearby Seagullcove Lodge, where you will enjoy ocean breezes while you take in stunning views of the Chiriqui Gulf.

Day 2

Spend your second day getting to know the unsurpassed beauty and biodiversity present in the Gulf of Chiriqui.

Fantastic bird watching, dolphin sightings, snorkeling, and island hopping are all on the agenda for the day. Lunch will be served on our boat, or on one of the many deserted beaches on the surrounding islands -- your choice!

After your fun-filled day, we will escort you back to Seagullcove for dinner and star gazing before turning in.

Day 3

Breakfast and a morning flight back to Panama City.
